jaw-dropping: 驚くべき
courageous: 勇気ある、勇ましい ingenious: 工夫に富む、巧妙な As I wanted to know how a Japanese word "マニアック" is translated into English, I searched in my dictionary and he told me two words:
avid: ①熱心な ②渇望している passionate: ①情熱的な、熱烈な ②夢中の、熱中して It is interesting for me that some miss of translation in English-like word coined in Japan. In this class, we played word cards game again. One of cards my partner took have some picture of a kind of flower. At last I didn't know what kind of flower it is. In Japanese that kind of flower is called kiku(菊). To my surprise, kiku is called in English chrysanthemum. sources: www.freegreatpicture.com/flower-wallpapers/chrysanthemum-31681 www.easymix.com.au/mildura/features/the-grow-show/44569-plant-of-the-week-chrysanthemum www.f9view.com/chrysanthemum-high-definition-wallpaper-backgrounds |
