To my surprise, kiku is called in English chrysanthemum.
"……CHRYSANTHEMUM!!? Is this name too complicated to mean a kind of flower!? "...I thought.
As I searched other name of flowers, I understand that some flowers have odd-looks scientific names. For example, asagao is Ipomoena nil, himawari is Helianthus annuus.
The reason I thought their scientific names are odd is they come from Latin.
